An argument between two men turned into a shooting Sunday in the 600 block of West Onondaga Street, Syracuse police said.
The 54-year-old victim's leather jacket saved him from being injured by birdshot, according to police, who gave the following account of what happened:

Police, who did not release the men's names, had not located the suspect, Sgt. Thomas Connellan said Sunday. The suspect was seen leaving the scene in a red Chevrolet TrailBlazer. Officers at the scene recovered the weapon.
Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call 442-5222. Calls will be kept confidential, police said.
