That's why you're invited to Ladies, Cooking and Creativity next Wednesday, March 13, 7-9pm at the Mercato in the Grand Traverse Village Commons.
One of a Kind Cycle and Jessie Hernden, a nutritionist and avid cyclist, will provide nutritional information, recipes, and tips to promote healthy eating with food and meal ideas that can be completed in 30 minutes or less — or in a crock pot. You’ll get the tools to become a healthier you.
Attendees will receive a food and exercise journal along with other materials. And, one lucky person will receive a free Sheila Moon bike shorts or jacket — up to $119 value.

7:13 p.m. — 3300 block Midway Mall, an employee of Taco Bell in the food court of the Midway Mall told police her iPhone 4 was stolen from the employee restroom after she accidentally left the phone there. The woman contacted Verizon to track the phone, and she learned that the phone’s location service had been turned off. The woman said a password would have been needed to turn the location service off.

12:40 a.m. — 1000 block Melvyn Lane, Tramaine White, 23, arrested on a warrant through the Broadview Heights Police Department for a traffic offense and charged with illegal use of food stamps. Police were investigating a complaint of a suspicious man in the area, matching White’s description, and he was stopped and found to have a warrant for his arrest. Police said White had debit cards and an Ohio Direction Card belonging to a woman who had a temporary protection order against him.
