They circulate through two rooms of women adoring every outfit and loving every minute of the fashion show and the lunch. In fact, the fashion show is a big draw to the Kerr Nursery in Portland, Ore. Don’t get me wrong, there is the beautiful architecture of the stately brick building built in 1921, and there are tasteful holiday decorations that change with the seasons. On her deathbed, she asked that her home be used as an orphanage to help children with developmental disabilities. I just have to say that a little ladies’ lunch there with my mom, and an afternoon of antique shopping, always lifts our spirits as well. Especially if they have a fashion show.
