Several piece of jewelry were taken from two homes in Fenton home during burglaries on Monday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

A resident on Cherry Hill Drive told officers she was gone from 8 a.m. until around 6 p.m. When she returned home and removed her earrings for the evening, she noticed three pairs missing from her collection. Then she noticed other pieces of jewelry were also gone, including two diamond rings, three rhinestone rings and five chains.

The thief entered the home through a window that led to her bedroom closet, according to the report. A neighbor told officers they saw a white Lexus parked outside the home, which may or may not be related to the theft.

The items were valued at $720. The suspect also made off with several pieces of costume jewelry, according to the report.

More than $2,500 in jewelry was taken from a home on Old Sugar Creek between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The resident told officers a jewelry box and pottery box containing a wedding ring, two Mother’s rings and a Mother’s necklace, a diamond ring, three necklaces, a graduation ring and silver coins were missing.

The resident’s children noticed a window screen had been pushed up. Change and pieces of furniture in the living room were disheveled, according to the report.
